This hearty chili is ideal when served in a crusty bread bowl and topped with veggie cheddar cheese and Tofutti?s ?Sour Supreme.?

Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Chili

150 g onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3 tbsp. olive oil
450 g mushrooms, sliced
130 g green pepper, chopped
1 can diced chilies
450 g black beans
450 g crushed tomatoes
55 g faux meat
1 Chilli powder to taste
120 g v8

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Chili

  1. In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic in the oil until the onions become soft.

  2. Add the mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes.

  3. Add the peppers and sauté for a few more minutes.

  4. Add the black beans, tomatoes, crumbles, and chilli powder and simmer for 30 minutes.
