Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Burgers

15 oz Black Beans
1 large Egg, Whole
1 large raw Zucchini
0.5 cup Bread Crumbs, Dry, Grated, Plain
2 oz Mexican Style Four Cheese
2 tbsp Chili Powder
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
0.25 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Quality Spices Cumin
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Burgers

  1. In a small bowl, mash up 1 can of black beans.

  2. Add 1 large egg, 1 cup of shredded zucchini, 1/2 cup of dry bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of shredded Mexican Cheese blend, 2 Tbsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp ground cumin.

  3. Mix well.

  4. Shape into six patties and brush both sides with olive oil.

  5. Place on a baking sheet.

  6. Place baking sheet 3-4 inches from the heat for 3-4 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees.

  7. Serve with Mole Salsa on a bun or by itself.
