Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Burgers

1/2 cup black beans, soaked
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, minced
2/3 cup corn
1 egg
1 slice wheat bread
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Burgers

  1. Boil beans until soft. Mash with a fork in a large bowl.

  2. Add garlic, onion, and corn to beans. Mix well.

  3. Add egg yolk, spices, and crumbs of one bread slice to mixture. Mix until large chunks hold together.

  4. Grill patties until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
