Makes 4 servings



Veggie burger that can be made with any bean and any veggies on hand. A variation on a recipe from Women's Health magazine.

Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Burgers

1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup brown rice
1/4 cup broccoli, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp hot sauce
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 egg white

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Burgers

  1. Mix all ingredients.

  2. Pulse in food processor until mixture sticks together.

  3. Divide mixture into 4 and form 4 equal patties.

  4. Cook patties in a little oil or cooking spray over medium heat until browned - 3-4 minutes each side or so.
