Black Bean burgers. Makes enough to freeze and enjoy later

Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean burger

2 cup Beans, Black, Mature Seeds
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
0.5 cup chopped Red Onion
0.5 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Green
1 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery
4 clove Garlic
2 tsp Cumin
2 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Cayenne
1/2 cup dry Quick Quaker Oats
2 slice Bread, Whole-wheat, Commercially Prepared
0.25 cup Hummus
1 tbsp Soy Sauce

Recipe Directions for Black Bean burger

  1. Heat oil med-low

  2. Saute garlic and onion till soft

  3. Add celery and pepper till soft

  4. Mix in herbs and spices

  5. Mash/puree 1/2 beans

  6. Add reserved beans and all other ingredients except hummus and liquid seasoning

  7. Mix by hand

  8. Add enough hummus to moisten mixture
