Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Burger

280 g black beans, drained
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1 medium onion
2 tbs canola oil

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Burger

  1. Pop the can of black beans, drain.

  2. Mash black beans in a large bowl, add bread crumbs, and slightly beaten egg. Set aside.

  3. Soak diced onion in cold water (10 minutes) Drain all water and pat dry before adding to the Black Bean Mixture.

  4. Mix together well. Form into six patties, as you would a regular meat burger.

  5. Place a frying pan on medium head, add two tablespoons of canola oil and tilt pan to coat.

  6. Cook so that each side is slight browned.

  7. Serve on a roll or by itself with salad garnish.
