These burgers are filling, fresh and delicious! Enjoy. Use Bush's Best Reduced Sodium Black Beans.

Recipe Ingredients for Black Bean Burger (8 servings)

15 oz Bush's Best Black Beans
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 onion
3 cloves garlic
1 egg
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp cumin
1 tsp hot sauce
1/2 cup bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for Black Bean Burger (8 servings)

  1. Drain & rinse black beans.

  2. In medium bowl, mash the beans with a fork until they are thick and pasty.

  3. Finely chop bell pepper, onion & garlic (go for 3 cloves) into mashed beans.

  4. In a small bowl, beat egg, stir in the chili powder, cumin and hot sauce (be generous with the spices).

  5. Stir the egg mixture into the beans & veggies. Add breadcrumbs.

  6. Divide into 8 patties.

  7. You can grill them on foil or put them in the oven for about 10 min on each side or cook them in a skillet.
