5 WW points/serving, using any dried fruit 9 mg. sodium, 6 g. protein, 4 g. fiber

Recipe Ingredients for BJ's Cherry Granola Bars

4 cups rolled oats
8 ounces sliced almonds
8 ounces slivered almonds
3 cups dried cherrys
1 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon almond extract

Recipe Directions for BJ's Cherry Granola Bars

  1. Mix oats and almonds on a shallow baking tray and bake for 15 minutes at 350. Remove from oven, lower oven temp to 300.

  2. In microwave-safe large bowl, combine fruit, honey, brown sugar, butter and flavoring. Microwave on high temp for 2-3 minutes, or until butter is melted and brown sugar is dissolved. Mix thoroughly, and then add toasted oat/nut mix and blend together. Press into 9x13 greased pan, bake for 25 minutes at 300 degrees. Remove from oven, invert on baking sheet, and return to oven for 5 minutes.

  3. Cool completely before slicing with serrated knife into bars. Wrap each bar in plastic wrap, store or freeze.
