Recipe Ingredients for bitter cabbage

1 kg white cabbage
50 g carrot
1 tablespoon sea salt

Recipe Directions for bitter cabbage

  1. Slice the cabbage making sure you remove the hard parts.

  2. In a bowl mix with grated carrot (use large size to grate) with the sliced cabbage.

  3. Add salt and bay leaf and mix well.

  4. Put in jar, or clay pot and add weight onto the cabbage to compress.

  5. After two week it is well fermented to use as base for meals and salads
