Classic meatballs made with ground bison. Provides a lean alternative to ground beef with a high protein content. Perfect with classic spaghetti.

Recipe Ingredients for Bison Meatballs

1 pound ground bison
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 eggs
1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
1 tablespoon grated parmesan
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Bison Meatballs

  1. preheat oven to 400 degrees

  2. mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mash together with hands

  3. ball meatballs into similar sizes. You can use an ice cream scooper to get a consistant size. Recipe makes 17-20 meatballs.

  4. place meatballs on baking sheet with parchment paper covering to ease removal.

  5. bake for 8 minutes

  6. turn meatballs over and bake an additional 8 minutes

  7. Can be saved in refrigerator and heated in microwave for 30 seconds for a quick power snack.
