A classic meat loaf recipe using bison instead of beef. Look for a lean ground bison.

Recipe Ingredients for Bison Meat Loaf

900 grams bison, lean
2 cups low sodium beef or vegetable broth
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup shredded celery
1/2 cup shredded onions
1 whole egg
1 cup oatmeal

Recipe Directions for Bison Meat Loaf

  1. Mix all ingredients, add basil, thyme, etc as desired.

  2. Place in loaf pan, refrigerate for minimum 2 hours

  3. Slide a knife around edge, turn pan upside down and place formed meat loaf on broiler pan

  4. Bake at 350 for 1.5 hours
