Recipe Ingredients for Bisi Bele Bath - Low Calorie

50 g uncooked rice
50 g Lentils
100 g Peas
1 cups of carrots
1 cup of beans
1 cup of cauliflower
1 cup of tomato
1/4 cup of onion
1 tablespoon oil
3 tablespoon of curry powder
1 teaspoon of chili powder
6 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon of mustard
1/2 teaspoon of Cumin
1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of tamarind paste (tamcon)

Recipe Directions for Bisi Bele Bath - Low Calorie

  1. Boil Rice, Lentils, Peas, Carrots & Beans in a Pressure Cooker. On a Tava (wok), heat oil, add mustard, jeera and curry leaves. Add Onions and roast a little bit. When Onions are turning brown, add cauliflower, brinjal, bell peppers and roast them. Add tamcon paste, water, curry powder, chili powder and salt. When water is boiling transfer the cooked rice, lentils and vegetables. Add tomatoes and cook for 10-15 minutes in a low flame, occasionally mixing with a ladle. Garnish with coriander leaves.
