Recipe Ingredients for Biscuits - mom's baking powder biscuits

1 3/4 c flour
1/2 t salt
1 T baking powder
1/4 c butter
2/3 c 2% milk

Recipe Directions for Biscuits - mom's baking powder biscuits

  1. preheat oven to 450F

  2. soften butter

  3. combine dry ingredients

  4. cut butter into flour until pebbly

  5. add milk slowly, combining with a fork until dough

  6. DO NOT OVER KNEAD or biscuits will be tough

  7. use a biscuit cutter and place in a pie pan for baking for 15 minutes or until golden brown on top
