Recipe Ingredients for biscuits with gram flour

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup gram flour
1 cup low fat buttermilk
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons smart balance

Recipe Directions for biscuits with gram flour

  1. preheat oven to 450F

  2. mix dry ingredients in a mixing bowl

  3. cut in smart balance with pastry blender

  4. add buttermilk and stir; add additional flour if necessary to get dough to pull away from bowl

  5. pat out onto floured surface

  6. cut out biscuits

  7. bake on a sheet or in a skillet for 14 min. at 450F
