Wonderful very low-fat breakfast, full of fiber and vitamins, and tastes great!

Recipe Ingredients for Bircher Muesli

750 g Oats, Rolled, Regular Old Fashioned
120 g Apple Rings Organic
20 g sesame seeds
20 g Coconut Meat, Dried (Desiccated), Not Sweetened
100 g sultanas
80 g almonds
100 g Dried Apricots

Recipe Directions for Bircher Muesli

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix.

  2. Place 50g of mixture into a bowel with 1/2 cup of either apple juice, low fat milk or water.

  3. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.

  4. Serve with some grated apple or pear. Can be served warm if preferred by heating in microwave before adding grated fruit.

  5. You can also add some ground cinnamon to taste.

  6. Adding 10g of freshly ground linseed (flax seed) gives a good boost of protein and vitamins as well (optional, added to each serve individually as ground linseed does not keep well).
