Recipe Ingredients for Betty's Homemade Chili

1 lb Beef, Ground, 90% Lean
31 oz Chili Beans
30 oz Tomato Juice from concentrate
10 g Salt, Lite
4 g Paprika
3 1/2 g Cumin
3 1/2 g Oregano
5 1/2 g Onion, dried
5 1/2 g garlic, dried
2 tbsp Chili Powder
17 g Masa Flour

Recipe Directions for Betty's Homemade Chili

  1. Brown ground beef; crumble

  2. drain excess fat

  3. Add Chili beans and tomato juice; stir all ingredients

  4. Add all seasoning (add salt and red pepper as needed); retain masa for later

  5. simmer for 1 hour

  6. add masa (mix with .25 c warm water) 30 min before serving
