Recipe Ingredients for Better than Mom's Oatmeal Cookies

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/8 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp mace
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup pecans, chopped toasted
1 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Better than Mom's Oatmeal Cookies

  1. In large bowl cream sugars and butter.

  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

  3. In medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices.

  4. Gradually add dry to wet ingredients until completely mixed.

  5. Add oats and raisins.

  6. Prepare oven to 350°F.

  7. Drop by teaspoonful 2 inches apart. Flatten with fork and bake 8 to 10 minutes ( ideal 10.30 )

  8. Makes 4 dozen
