I switched out margarine for butter but the secret to margarine is to use less for some reason.

Recipe Ingredients for better recipe than the good eats one

2 cups peanut butter
1 1/2 sticks of margarine
2 3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for better recipe than the good eats one

  1. Cover with plastic wrap and stab a few holes to release the steam.

  2. Mix in peanut butter and margarine in a bowl

  3. Microwave for 2 minutes.

  4. Stir add vanilla

  5. Microwave for two more minutes.

  6. Sift powdered sugar and stir in until powdered sugar is absorbed.

  7. Pour into a wax paper covered glass dish.

  8. Chill in refigerator untill firm.
