a healthier dough to make fry bread out of wheat to make it better and soy flour to add protein to the dough. This dough is sticky and will require extra work to spread and fry...try frying in coconut oil.

Recipe Ingredients for better fry bread

2 cups flour
3 cups wheat flour
1 cup soy flour
6 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons oil
3 cups of water

Recipe Directions for better fry bread

mix dry ingredients in one bowl and liquids in another slowly add liquids to dry creating a dough. knead dough and let rest while oil is heating...cut into smaller units and proceed to gently stretch and or pull into flat round pieces about 1/4 in thin and place a hole in the middle to insure even cooking place in hot oil until brown flip and repeat remove from oil and enjoy...
