Recipe Ingredients for Best Tomato Sauce Ever

220 grams Onions
1 medium raw(89 g) Leeks
238 grams Bell Pepper Red
80 grams Celery
392 grams Squash, Summer, Zucchini, Includes Skin
454 2/5 grams Squash, Winter, Butternut
1 cup, strips or slices(122 g) Carrots
820 7/10 grams Italian Style Chopped Tomatoes
29 grams Chopped Italian Tomatoes, Herbs
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1 tablespoon Oregano

Recipe Directions for Best Tomato Sauce Ever

  1. Prep your veggies. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large saucepan and add 2 small onions, 2 stalks of celery, 1 small leek, 2 red bell peppers roughly chopped; 2 zuchinnis and 2 carrots grated with a picnch of oregano. Cook slowly on low for about 20 min stirring occassionaly.

  2. Meanwhile, peel and deseed one butternut squash. Grate this into the vegetables.

  3. Add 4 14.5 oz can of tomatoes with juice, 2 c of water, a pich of sea salt and black pepper. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 30 min.

  4. Lett the sauce cool and then puree it with a stick blender. Once cool you can freeze sauce in large bags for future meals.

  5. One suggestion is to add sliced asparagus to 4c of sauce and serve over fettucine with parmesan grated on top.
