Recipe Ingredients for Best Cornbread

1 cup cornmeal
1 egg
1 cup skim milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Best Cornbread

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Add lemon juice to milk. Wait 5 minutes.

  3. Grease and flour (or cornmeal) 2 3x5 pans.

  4. Beat egg.

  5. Add dry ingredients to egg.

  6. Add milk and mix well.

  7. Pour into pans and bake 30-45 mins.
