Recipe Ingredients for Berry Upside-Down White Cake

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup canola oil
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 cup 1% milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
2/3 cup blueberries
1/2 cup strawberries, diced
2 tbsp pure maple syrup

Recipe Directions for Berry Upside-Down White Cake

  1. Mix dry ingredients (3/4 cup sugar only).

  2. Add milk, oil, egg and vanilla.

  3. Spread berries in bottom of cake pan.

  4. Sprinkle with rest of sugar and maple syrup.

  5. Pour cake over fruit.

  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350.
