Great beet flavor -- but stains anything it touches. Refrig leftovers and eat cold.

Recipe Ingredients for Beets, Oven Roasted

3 beets, raw
2 tsp margarine, soft
1/8 tsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Beets, Oven Roasted

  1. - If greens attached, cut off, leaving about 1 inch above beet. Use greens as desired.

  2. - Preheat oven to 400

  3. - Wash beets (leave skin on) and put in pan/roaster/whatever.

  4. - Cover with lid or foil & cook for one hour.

  5. - Remove & let cool enough to handle. Remove skin. Most can be rubbed off or removed with paring knife.

  6. - Cut beets into large chunks

  7. - Melt a T or so butter/marg and mix in minced garlic or garlic powder.

  8. - Pour over & stir. Microwave for a minute or so, then sample & adjust.
