Recipe Ingredients for beet burgers

2 cups grated beets
1 1/2 cups cooked quinoa
1 cup toasted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup toasted sesame seeds
1/2 cup minced onion
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup oil
3 tablespoons all purpose flour
3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped finely
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for beet burgers

  1. Toast seeds, and prepare quinoa (or bulgur wheat, or millet)

  2. Oven 350

  3. line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  4. In a large bowl combine everything. make patties, if they don't stay together good, add more quinoa. make about 11-12 patties.

  5. Cook 25 minutes, flipping carefully, half way.

  6. Serve on a whole wheat bun, with avacado, grilled onion, tomato, and vegan mayonnaise.
