The smell of the mushrooms, thyme and hops carries through and the fork-tender pork tenderloin is sure to please the pickiest palate. This is a super easy dish that will taste like you spent hours on it. A true, no-fail recipe, don't bother with knives- you won't need them.

Recipe Ingredients for Beer-braised pork and mushrooms

1 lb pork tenderloin, sliced into four slices
12 oz. beer
1 T. olive oil
1 lb. mushrooms
1 t. butter, salted
1 thyme to taste

Recipe Directions for Beer-braised pork and mushrooms

  1. Lightly brown pork slices in heavy skillet w. lid.

  2. Pour in beer; add mushrooms and thyme. Cover.

  3. Simmer 1 hour on medium heat.

  4. Remove pork; keep warm.

  5. Swirl butter into mushrooms.

  6. Increase heat to high; cook until liquid is nearly all evaporated.

  7. Serve hot with mushrooms on side.
