Beefy Baked Ziti (858 cal/serving)

Recipe Ingredients for Beefy Baked Ziti

1 lb dry ziti pasta
1 onion, chopped
1 lb lean ground beef
52 oz ClassicoŽ Tomato and Basil Sauce
6 oz provolone cheese, sliced
1 1/2 cups sour cream
6 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Beefy Baked Ziti

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

  2. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain.

  3. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat.

  4. Add pasta sauce, and simmer 15 minutes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 350°.

  6. Butter a 13x9 inch baking dish.

  7. Layer as follows: ˝ of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, ˝ sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture.

  8. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

  9. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted.
