Recipe Ingredients for Beef Wrapped Asparagus

12 oz Beef, Top Sirloin
24 spears (1/2" base) Asparagus
0.25 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
3 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1.5 serving Coarse Kosher Salt
3 serving Soy Sauce
3 tbsp Mirin (rice cooking wine)
15 grams Sake Wine (16% alcohol)
15 grams Water

Recipe Directions for Beef Wrapped Asparagus

  1. Slice Beef as thin as possible. (1 lb should make 16 slices)

  2. Clean Asparagus and cook half way in boiling water

  3. Roll each beef slice around two or three asparagus spears

  4. Evenly coat each roll with flour

  5. Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat, place rolled beef in frying pan and cook turning until all sides are done.

  6. Cut rolls into thirds and put back into pan.

  7. Add Sauce over medium heat, when sauce begins to reduce, remove from pan and serve.

  8. Sauce Instructions

  9. Combine 3 tbs each of soy sauce, sake, mirin, and water
