Slow roast beef in red wine and jam. I had a large joint of meat, it works just as well with less, just reduce the amount of liquid.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef in Wine

2198 g beef, raw
158 g onion
1 tbsp garlic, dried
250 ml beef stock
250 ml red wine
100 ml plum jam

Recipe Directions for Beef in Wine

  1. Sear the meat over a high heat. Remove from pan.

  3. Put meat into slow cooker and pour the liquid over it.

  4. Cook long and slow.

  5. Remove meat and slice.

  6. Return sliced meat to the slow cooker to keep moist.
