The key to a good stir-fry is to cook the veggies until they are brightly colored, crisp, and not overcooked!

Recipe Ingredients for Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry

1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp onions
1 tbsp garlic
1 kg lean beef
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1/2 cup water
1 lb carrots
1 1/2 cups broccoli
1 1/2 cups cauliflower
1 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 lb zucchini
50 g sweet red pepper
50 g sweet green pepper

Recipe Directions for Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry

  1. Heat oil in medium heat.

  2. Saute onions until translucent then add garlic.

  3. Add beef, then salt & pepper, and saute until beef is slightly browned. Add water, cover to boil.

  4. When beef is tender, stir carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. Add the oyster sauce.

  5. Increase heat to medium-high. Cover for 5 min then add zucchini.

  6. When zucchini is slightly softened, usually after 2 min, add the red and green peppers.

  7. Continue to cook until peppers are brightly colored and slightly soft. The vegetables should be slightly soft and crisp. Do not overcook veggies!
