Healthier alternative to regular Taco Salad

Recipe Ingredients for Beef and Turkey Taco Salad

3 tbsp Onion
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Ground Cumin
3 oz Raw Lean Ground Beef
2 1/2 oz Ground Turkey
2 tbsp Water
1 1/2 cup Romaine Lettuce
1/3 cup Green Pepper
1/3 cup Red Pepper
2 tsp Sour Cream
25 g Cheddar Cheese

Recipe Directions for Beef and Turkey Taco Salad

  1. Using a non-stick frying pan, add the Pam spray and saute the onion, garlic, chili powder and cumin for 3 minutes. Add the ground beef and ground turkey, cook until brown. Add 2 tbsp of water and mix.

  2. In a large salad bowl, add the shredded lettuce, green and red peppers and top with ground turkey and beef mixture. Top the salad with sour cream and shredded cheese. Toss and serve.
