I used 97% lean ground beef. The original recipe called for turkey which I didn't have. The calorie count for turkey was listed at 379 calories per serving. 149 grams is just over 5 ounces per serving.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef (Turkey) Polenta Pie

16 ounces lean ground beef (or turkey)
13 ounces polenta
4 T. corn
3 T. parmesan cheese
1 1/2 T. olive oil

Recipe Directions for Beef (Turkey) Polenta Pie

  1. Brown ground meet until fully cooked.

  2. Place meat in baking pan.

  3. Put parmesan cheese and corn on top of meat.

  4. Slice polenta.

  5. Coat each piece in olive oil.

  6. Place polenta over meat, cheese, and corn.

  7. Place in oven at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes.

  8. Put under broiler for a few minutes to brown the top.
