Braised beef with cabbage and broccoli

Recipe Ingredients for Beef Tips with Veggies

12 oz beef, cubed
8 oz cabbage
2 stalks broccoli
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1/4 ml of salt
1/4 ml of pepper
1/3 cup flour
3/4 cup red wine
1 cup beef stock
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
3 tsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Beef Tips with Veggies

  1. Mix seasonings and flour

  2. Dredge beef in flour

  3. Heat olive oil in frying pan until hot

  4. Add beef to frying pan. Brown thoroughly.

  5. Warm stock, red wine and excess seasoned flour in saucepan.

  6. Add beef to saucepan. Simmer low for 15-20 minutes.

  7. Arrange cabbage and broccoli on top of beef. Continue to simmer until veggies are tender. Add water as needed to thin gravy.
