Recipe Ingredients for beef stroganoff

1 head of cabbage, sliced
1 lb ground beef
1 cup beef stock
1 cup fat free sour cream
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 slice whole wheat bread
1 egg
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp sage
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp onion

Recipe Directions for beef stroganoff

  1. boil sliced noodles in water, add some beef stock for flavor, until tender

  2. combine ripped up bread and egg with spices and meat form into balls

  3. pan fry meatballs until almost cooked, then bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes until well done

  4. In sauce pan, whisk beef stock and and cornstarch over medium heat until it starts to thicken

  5. add sour cream and fold together with a little salt and pepper to taste as well as a little of the thyme and garlic

  6. add meatballs to the sauce

  7. pour sauce and meatballs over cabbage noodles
