8 ounces flank steak, cut into thin strips . Marinade: 1 1/2 tsp. dark soy sauce 1 1/2 tsp. light soy sauce 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. Asian sesame oil Pinch of white pepper 3/4 tsp. cornstarch . Other: 1 large egg 1/4 tsp. salt 3 TB peanut or vegetable oil, for stir-frying 1 tsp. minced garlic 1/2 onion, chopped 4 cups cold leftover cooked rice 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed or fresh peas 1/4 cup shredded carrot 1 1/2 - 2 green onions (scallion, spring onion), finely chopped

Recipe Ingredients for Beef stir fry

2 tsp. light soya sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. Sesame Oil
1 Pepper, Black
1 large egg
2 tbs. peanut or vegetable oil, for stir-frying
1 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 onion, chopped
4 cups Rice, White, Long-grain, Cooked
1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed or fresh peas
1/4 cup shredded carrot
1 1/2 green onions (scallion, spring onion), finely chopped

Recipe Directions for Beef stir fry

  1. add the marinade ingredients to the beef, stirring to combine.

  2. Let stand 10 minutes

  3. Lightly beat the egg

  4. Heat 1 tbs oil in a preheated fry pan , add minced garlic.

  5. Stir fry for a few seconds , then add onions, stir fry 1-2 minutes, add the beef, stirfry till it changes colour

  6. Heat 2tbs oil in pan, reduce heat to medium heat.

  7. Add rice.

  8. Add peas ans shredded carrots.Stirring top combine .

  9. Scramble the egg

  10. Combine with the fried rice

  11. Stir in green chopped onion

  12. Serve hot
