Beef stew with no added fat and root vegtables

Recipe Ingredients for Beef stew

1 lb stew meat, lean
2 turnips
1 c Carrots
1/2 c celery
2 c red wine
2 c beef broth
2 c tomatoes, canned
3 cloves garlic
1/2 c peas
1/2 t pepper
1/2 t salt
1/2 c flour, whole wheat
1 T worcestershire sauce
1 T Rosemary

Recipe Directions for Beef stew

  1. Marinate overnight 1 lb stew meat cubes in 2 Cups Red Wine, 3 bay leafs, 1 T garlic

  2. Drain and reserve marinade

  3. Mix salt and pepper in a bag of 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat flour. Add stew meat to coat

  4. In a crockpot, add meat, reserved marinade and remaining ingredients.

  5. Low- 6-8 hours
