Homemade Beef Stew using potatoes, tomatoes, corn, green beans and carrots.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef Stew

1 lb Stew Meat
4 cups Beef Broth
14 1/2 ounces Stewed Tomatoes
14 ounces Green Beans
14 ounces Corn
4 medium Potatoes
1 medium onion
1 1/2 cups carrots
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Recipe Directions for Beef Stew

  1. Heat the oil in a 6-qt sauce pot over med-high heat. Add the beef and onion until cooked and well browned, stirring often. Remove the browned meat and pour out any fat.

  2. Stir in the broth and heat until a boil. Return the beef to the pot. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 1 1/2 hours.

  3. Add the potatoes, carrots, corn, tomatoes, and green beans. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until the meat is fork tender and the vegetables are tender. Stirring occasionally.
