Recipe Ingredients for Beef Stew

1 1/2 lb stew meat
2 tbs salt
1 tbs black pepper
1 tsp cayenne
1 tbs garlic powder
2 tbs Worcestershire
14 oz French style green beans
8 oz sliced carrots
14 oz corn
1 cup chopped onion
2 medium diced red potatoes
6 cups water
2 tbs all purpose flour
1 tbs apple cider vinegar

Recipe Directions for Beef Stew

  1. In a 5 qt pot brown meat on med heat. As the meat is browning add Worcestershire and vinegar. Once the meat is near brown not seared add the onions. (DON'T DRAIN THE MEAT) Add in drained green bean, drained corn, drained carrots and potatoes.

  2. Add all but one cup of water. In a bowl add all remaining seasoning and flour slowly stirring in the left over water. Once well blended add the mix to the stew.

  3. Cover and let cook for thirty minutes at a boil or until potatoes have softened.

  4. Adjustment to seasonings are based on a required taste and fresh garlic is a great touch vs powdered.

  5. (You can brown meat then add ingredients into a slow cooker if you choose however potatoes should be delayed in this case to avoid them overcooking)
