This is a satisfying stew with low calories and a good amount of fiber. Yum!

Recipe Ingredients for Beef Stew

2 tbs all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbs canola oil
1 lb lean stew meat
1 c onion, diced
1 tbs garlic, minced
1 c carrots, sliced
1 1/2 c potato, diced
1/2 c raw pearled barley
10 oz tomato sauce
2 1/4 c water
1/2 tsp bay leaf
1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp oregano
1 tsp fresh rosemary
2 oz beef bouillion

Recipe Directions for Beef Stew

  1. Shake stew meat in a bag with the flour and pepper until coated. Brown in hot oil in a skillet.

  2. In a Crock Pot, combine the stew meat with remaining ingredients. Cook on low 7-8 hours.
