Recipe Ingredients for Beef with Spiced Pepper Sauce

3/4 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak
3 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
40 g bell pepper
40 g onion

Recipe Directions for Beef with Spiced Pepper Sauce

  1. place beef between pieces of plastic wrap or wax paper; pound with flat side of meat mallet or rolling bin to tenderize; cut into 4 serving pieces

  2. in small bowl, beat ketchup, water, and soy sauce with fork until blended, set aside

  3. spray 10inch skillet with cooking spray; heat to medium high heat

  4. cook beef for 3 minutes turning once

  5. add bell pepper and onion

  6. stir in ketchup mixture, reduce heat to low

  7. cover simmer 12 minutes or just until tender

  8. remove beef from skillet; keep warm

  9. stir black pepper into sauce; heat to boiling

  10. boil 2 minutes stirring frequently
