Pot Roast w/ potatoes, onions and carrots

Recipe Ingredients for Beef Pot Roast in Slow Cooker

5 lb rump roast
2 T Olive Oil
1/4 cup red wine
28 g Lipton Onion Soup MIx
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 lb pearl onions
2 lb russet potatoes
1 lb baby carrots
24 oz Beef Broth
1 Salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Beef Pot Roast in Slow Cooker

  1. Trim roast of excess fat salt and pepper all sides , to taste. In a large skillet heat oil and brown roast on all sides.

  2. Place roast in slow cooker, pour wine in skillet to deglace the bottom and pour over roast. Add Onion mix, chopped celery, quartered potatoes, baby carrots.

  3. Pour broth

  4. Cook on low until tender, about 8 hours
