Recipe Ingredients for Beef and Lentil Bolognese

250 g Beef
175 g dried green lentils
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 carrot, diced
3 cloves garlic, grated
400 g chopped tomato
2 tbsp tomato puree
1/2 zucchini, chopped
100 g mushroom, chopped
1 green pepper, diced
1 Stock Cubes
1 Serving Sauce
1 tsp marmite
200 ml water

Recipe Directions for Beef and Lentil Bolognese

  1. Sautee onion, celery and carrot for 10-15 mins until soft.

  2. Add the garlic and the rest of the veg and sautee for a further 5 mins.

  3. Add the tomatoes, tomato puree, stock cube, water, marmite, worcester sauce (or mushroom ketchup) and some dried herbs (I used bay leaf and thyme) and simmer for 30-40 mins.
