An actual 2 crust pie filled with seasoned ground beef and potatoes. Add gravy and a vegetable, and dinner is ready.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef French Meat Pie

5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut up
2 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp garlic salt
108 Pastry for 2 deep dish double crust pies pie crust

Recipe Directions for Beef French Meat Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  2. Boil potatoes until cooked, drain, coarsely mash

  3. Brown the ground beef and onion, drain and add to potatoes

  4. Add seasonings to the meat and potatoes, then thoroughly blend together by hand

  5. Fill the crusts, making 2 pies

  6. Add and vent top crusts

  7. Bake for 45 minutes

  8. Serve with beef, brown, or mushroom gravy and a vegetable
