Thinly slices beef shreds with mushroom and creamy sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef emincé à la crème

1000 grams Beef, Ground, 95% Lean Meat / 5% Fat, Crumbles
500 grams Mushrooms
8 medium (4-1/8" long) Onions, Spring Or Scallions
30 grams Butter
40 grams Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
1 glass (3.5 fl oz) Wine, Table, White
400 grams Cream, Fluid, Half And Half
1 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
3 cloves Garlic

Recipe Directions for Beef emincé à la crème

  1. Mix the raw beef shreds with the flour and salt and pepper seasoning.

  2. In a pan, heat half the portion of the butter then add the beef shreds to cook for four minutes on each side, on high - medium heat.

  3. Remove the beef from the pan and keep it warm.

  4. Heat the other half of the butter portion in the pan.

  5. Add the onions (sliced), garlic (minced) and mushrooms (sliced) and cook till they soften.

  6. Remove the mushrooms and onions from the pan and keep warm.

  7. Add the white wine and leave to boil until volume is reduced then add the cream and bring to boil.

  8. Return the beef and the mushroom and onions in the pan and mix everything together.

  9. Add the nutmeg, thyme and season.

  10. Keep stirring until desired thickness of sauce.
