200 g rump steak
3 small onions
1 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
50 g dried dates
1/2 pomegranate

Recipe Directions for Beef and dates meal/Nigella programme

  1. Caramelise onions, add spices. Brown beef and add to onions, then add a little water, half the juice from a pomegranate and a pinch of salt.

  2. Add dates, and cook until dates are soft and beef is cooked through. Serve with rice or potatoes.
