Just add noodles! I like thai noodles with this recipe, but I've used thin spaghetti noodles and it's just as good.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef Chow Mein

1 lb top round, trimmed of fat
1/2 head cabbage, shredded
1 large red bell pepper, sliced
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Ginger Root
3 cloves garlic,
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup cashews, chopped
1 tablespoon peanut oil

Recipe Directions for Beef Chow Mein

  1. Place beef in a small bowl and toss with teriyaki sauce. Set aside at room temperature while you cut all the vegetables.

  2. Set a pot of water on to boil noodles. Boil to al dente, drain and return to pot to keep warm.

  3. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet or wok over high heat and add oil and heat.

  4. Add beef and stiry fry until beef is no longer pink. Remove with slotted spoon or tongs, set aside and keep warm.

  5. In the wok, add onion, garlic and ginger and stir fry until onions begin to soften. Add peppers and stir.

  6. Add cabbage and toss to coat. Continue cooking until the cabbage begins to wilt. About 3-5 minutes.

  7. Return beef to wok and add cashews and noodles. Toss to combine and let cook another minute or two.
