Recipe Ingredients for Beef and Cabbage Bake

1 lb Beef, Ground, 95% Lean Meat / 5% Fat, Crumbles
1 small onion, diced
2 tablespoons oil
1 head cabbage
2 tablespoons carrots
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup water
1 garlic to taste
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 onion powder, black pepper and salt - all to taste
2 tomatoes
1 cup cheese, parmesan

Recipe Directions for Beef and Cabbage Bake

  1. Combine ground meat, onion and garlic powder in a 2 qt. covered oven casserole/pan with oil. Sauté uncovered for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up meat mixture.

  2. Drain off any fat. (Optionally, this can be done in a skillet and then moved to a covered casserole at this point.)

  3. Add cabbage and all but last two ingredients and toss well.

  4. Cover casserole and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
