Recipe Ingredients for Beef and Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

1 1/2 pound top round beef
3 tablespoon canola oil
7 1/2 cups broccoli florets
1/2 cup carrots, sliced
1/4 cup mushrooms

MARINADE:
2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoon Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch

Seasoning Sauce:
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch

Recipe Directions for Beef and Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

  1. Slice beef thinly and leave in marinade minimum 2 hours in fridge

  2. Microwave carrots and broccoli for about 3 minutes to precook.

  3. Add 1 Tbs oil to preheated wok, when close to smiking, add beef and stir-fry until med, rare. Set aside in colander to drain extra oil.

  4. Add another 1 tbs oil to wok. Add broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts in order stirfrying until almost cooked.

  5. Add back beef and cook a little longer, til done.

  6. Add Seasoning sauce, bring to boil, add cornstarch mixture and simmer until clears (maybe 30 seconds).

  7. Serve with rice.
