First multiply above ingredients by 8 since this stupid site doesn't let you add the recipe as it should. Now- Mix the onion soup mix, 1.5 cups of burgundy, 1/4 cup water and 2 TBLSP flour in a heavy baking pan. Add one TBSP dried basil, 1 tsp. dried thyme, 1.5 tsp.grated orange peel, 1/3 cup orange juice, 2 packets or 2 tsps. splenda, 4 cloves minced garlic and 1/4 tsp. pepper.

3 oz Beef, Brisket, Flat Half
1 serving Soup, Lipton, Recipe Secrets Onion, Mix, Dry
1 fl oz Wine, Table, Red
1 fl oz Water
0..08 oz Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
0.13 tbsp, leaves Basil, Dried
0.13 Teaspoon Thyme
1 fl. oz Minute Maid Original Calcium
0.13 tsp Orange Peel
0.25 packet SPLENDA No Calorie
0.5 clove Garlic
1 oz Mushrooms

Recipe Directions for Beef Brisket with Burgundy-Orange Sauce

  1. Mix all the above ingredients until well blended. Place a four pound beef brisket in the pan, add 2- 4 oz. cans mushrooms or the equivalent fresh mushrooms. Place a lid on the pan or cover with aluminum foil and bake in a 300 degree oven for 4 hours. Baste every hour.

  2. Remove from oven, slice against the grain and place on a deep serving platter. cover with some of the sauce after removing some of the fat. Refrigerate leftover meat in a new pan and cover with defatted sauce. YUMMMMMM!
