Recipe Ingredients for Beef Bourguignon

3 tbsp Olive Oil
32 oz Beef, Top Sirloin
1.5 cup, chopped Onions
1 cup sliced Mushrooms, Brown, Italian, Or Crimini
8 oz White Button Mushrooms Packaged
15 grams Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
45 grams Tomato Paste
12 fl oz Wine, Table, Red
2 dash Salt, Table
1 tsp Pepper, Black
1 tbsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
1 cup Soup, Beef Broth Or Bouillon

Recipe Directions for Beef Bourguignon

  1. Heat Olive Oil over medium heat. Sear beef tips well on all sides cooking for 5-8 minutes.

  2. Add Onions, Mushrooms, Flour, and tomato paste. Stir well to combine and cook for 5-6 minutes

  3. add wine, stirring to remove browned bits from pan. stir in salt, pepper, bay leaves, and broth.

  4. Cover with tight lid and reduce to low and cook 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Remove from heat, stir in butter and serve immediately.

  6. Note: Serve over Egg noodles, rice or mashed potatoes
