Beef stew made with your favorite beer. Mine is made with Octoberfest.

Recipe Ingredients for Beef and Beer stew

19.2 oz Beef, Chuck
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 tsp Sea Salt
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black
1.2 tsp Herbes de Provence
1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
10.5 oz Beef Broth
1 can or bottle (12 fl oz) Beer, Regular
4 medium Carrots
16 oz Potatoes
2 cup chopped Red Onion
2 cup Cut Green Beans
1/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
0.25 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Beef and Beer stew

  1. In a skillet brown the meat in the hot oil. Add the herbs and seasonings, beef broth, and beer. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

  2. Add the vegetables and continue cooking for 30 to 30 minutes longer, until vegetables are tender. Taste and add salt to taste.

  3. In a small bowl or cup mix the flour and water until smooth; stir into the stew until hot and thickened.

  4. Serves 6.
